Brandenburg State Parliament, Potsdam

From March 2027, the Kleist-Museum Foundation will offer the first glimpses of the new permanent exhibition and its design process at the Potsdam State Parliament. The interactive exhibition invites visitors to discover Heinrich von Kleist as an author who continually reinvented himself in a world in flux.

How does Kleist portray himself in his letters? What concepts of identity does he explore in his writing? What different images have later generations formed of him? And how does one exhibit an author whose life and work cannot be reduced to a simple formula?
